MOHALI: Rayat Bahra University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences organised guest lecture by two eminent scientists.
Dr Rajnish Kumar, Assistant Professor at Centre for Alzheimer Research, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm Sweden, spoke on "Discovery and Development of Novel Therapeutics for the Treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease".
Dr Jitender Singh, Principal and Dean School of Pharmacy, Career Point University, Hamirpur, spoke on "Current Scenario of Natural Products Research".
Dr Rajnish Kumar’s area of interest is focused on fundamental aspects of interaction of small-molecule ligands with proteins using both experimental and computational techniques. It was followed by discussion with the B Pharmacy and research scholars of the USPS, including Masters, PhD students and faculty members. Dr Kumar gave valuable tips and guidance to the students to excel in their research career.
Dr Jitender Singh, Principal and Dean School of Pharmacy, Career Point University, Hamirpur dwelt on career options available in the field of pharmacy and future prospects of pharmacy.
Prof Daljit Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, welcomed the eminent speakers. Head of USPS Dr Gurfateh Singh proposed a vote of thanks to Dr Rajnish Kumar and Dr Jatinder Singh.
