Cultural bonanza at Freshers’ Party Agaaz-19

MOHALI: A cultural extravaganza marked the Freshers’ Party Agaaz-19 organised by the students of the Rayat Bahra University Institute of Legal Studies. The programme started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dr Daljit Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Rayat Bahra University, and Sahila Bahra, Vice-President, Rayat Bahra Group of Institutes (RBGI).

It was a splash of colours at the cultural bonanza wherein the students participated with enthusiasm and made the event memorable with their brilliant performances. The day was marked by exciting games, vibrant dances and singing performances. Dr Jaspal Jassi, Associate Professor, University Institute of Legal Studies, set the stage on fire through his Punjabi soulful melodies.

Dr Daljit Singh, Vice-Chancellor, while congratulating the students for organizing the programme emphasized that such platforms were essential for university students to display their artistic and organizing skills.

Arshnoor and Nupur were crowned Mr and Ms Fresher. Rajvir and Harpreet were declared Mr and Ms Personality.

The award of Mr and Ms Well Dressed was bagged by Gursahib and Shivangi from 2nd year respectively. Dhruv Tokhi and Jashan of B.A.LL.B 1st semester were declared Mr and Ms Congeniality. Mr and Ms Fresher’s Contest was adjudged by Dr Kirat, Dr Jasdeep and Pinky, Faculty members, UILS.

The prize distribution ceremony was followed by cake cutting ceremony. The efforts of student coordinators Meet Kamal, Arshita, Gursahib, Shivangi and Ankush of B.A.LLB 3rd Semester were appreciated.
