Bhai Vir Singh Flower and Plants Exhibition was begun at Guru Nanak Dev University

 AMRITSAR:  Bhai Vir Singh Flower and Plants Exhibition begins in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bhawan of Guru Nanak Dev University. A large number of flower and plants lovers & students were present. This exhibition was organized with the inspiration of Vice- Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu to associate students with nature and to promote floriculture and plantation in the society. This will be concluded on December 20.

Prof. Sandhu said that this exhibition is Dedicated to eminent poet and philosopher Bhai Vir Singh . He said that in the era of busy schedule we are disassociating from nature and we need to encourage our youth to attract towards natural life style. He said that next year in March, 2019 , a mega event Golden Jublee Basant Bahar Flower show at national level will be organized.

During these days of exhibition, seminar and competitions will be organized and will be open for every one to participate and visit. The winners of competition organized during this exhibition will be suitably awarded and honored. Tomorrow a seminar on floriculture and plantation will be organised in which eminent scholars of the field will present their views.

Dr. J S Bilga, Horticulture consultant said that today 500 entries has received which will divided into various categories in the competitions. He said that maximum response was received in Small Guldaudis and  rangoli competition. He said that result will be announced tomorrow in the seminar and the judgment will be given by eminent scholar of the field. He said that this exhibition is open for everyone from nine to five pm.
