CHANDIGARH: Top seed Manas Dhamne advanced into the main draw in boys singles of the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors (Grade-2) at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here today. . He defeated R Senthik Kumar in straight sets 4-1, 5-3.
Fourth seed Bhushan Haobam moved into the final qualifying round. Bhushan defeated Rishivandhan in straight sets 4-1, 4-2. Jasmeet Duhan, Deep Munim and Krish Tyagi also advanced into the final qualifying round.
Charmi Gopinath and Kotistha Modak moved into the final qualifying round in girls singles. Charmi Gopinath upset fourth seed Hannah Nagpal 4-1, 4-2. Kotistha Modak won from Gauri Mangaonkar 4-2, 4-0 in a one sided match. Other girls singles 2nd qualifying round matches are in progress.
