Sumit Nagal upsets sixth seed in ATP Challenger Heilbronn Neckarcup

CHANDIGARH: Sumit Nagal advanced to the second round while Prajnesh Gunneswaran made his exit in the singles of the € 88, 520 ATP Challenger 7th Heilbronn Neckarcup, Germany, on Tuesday.
Nagal, ranked 140th, caused a mild upset as he shocked sixth seedDenis Kudla of the United States in three sets first round fixture.. Nadal kept his serve 80 per cent in while his rival had 58 percent of his serve in.
In the 129-minute battle, Nadal saved 11 out of 15 break points and converted five of 10 breakpoints. Kudla, ranked 118th, saved five out of 10 breakpoints while converting four of 15 breakpoints.
Nadal will next meet Antoine Hoang of France who ousted wild card holder Rudolf Molleker of Germany 6-0, 3-6, 6-3.
Gunneswaran was beaten by Italian Alessandro Giannessi 7-6 (4), 6-1.
Meanwhile, Divij Sharan is partnering Sander Arends of Netherlands in the doubles and this par has been seeded second. They have been drawn to meet Taro Daniel of Japan and Bernabe Zapta Mirallb of Spain in the round 16.
