PTI shot himself with licensed revolver, died on the spot.

KAITHAL: Jitendra Rana, posted as PTI under skilled employment, committed suicide by shooting himself on the head with a licensed revolver at his residence in Main Bazaar, Kalayat.

The incident occurred around 1.30 am on Saturday morning. Suddenly, people living nearby got scared after hearing the sound of gunshot. Police station in-charge Rohtash Kumar said that as soon as the information was received, Dial 112 immediately reached the spot. The teacher was taken to the government hospital in Kalayat in injured condition. But he died on the spot. After this, Jitendra's body was taken to the district hospital for post-mortem proceedings. The family members have not held anyone responsible for the incident.

In view of this, after investigation on the spot, proceedings under Section 174 were initiated by the police . Neighboring numberdar Sanjay Singla told that the deceased Jitendra Rana was currently serving under skilled employment in a government school in Rajound section. He was of friendly behaviour. Jitendra is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. The post mortem proceedings were going on till the time of filing the news.
