Tourism Minister Anmol Gagan Mann to Hoist Tricolour on I Day at Nawanshahr

NAWANSHAHR:Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Miss Anmol Gagan Mann would hoist the tricolour on 76th Independence Day Celebrations at ITI Ground Nawanshahr on August 15, 2022, said Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa reviewing the preparations during full dress rehearsal today, at Nawanshahr.
DC NPS Randhawa along with SSP Bhagirath Singh Meena also inspected the parade and March Past. Three Police contingents including one of women, NCC cadets of various schools and school band from KC Public school participated in the March Past led by DSP (D) Harshpreet Singh as Parade Commander.
About 1000 students from eight schools presented a grand PT show with full zeal of nationalism. Students of 12 schools performed during the cultural events with their action songs and choreographies based on patriotic themes including the students of S. Tara Singh Kahma Red Cross School for Special Children, Nawanshahr.
After monitoring the full dress rehearsal, the deputy commissioner chaired a meeting of all the participant schools and various departments engaged in arrangements and issued necessary directions to make the I Day Celebrations a great success. He said that we all are lucky to witness the 75th anniversary of our independence celebrations and it's our prime responsibility to make these celebrations a memorable moment for all.
Officers present there included ADC (G) Rajiv Verma, SDM Nawanshahr Baljinder Dhillon, SPs Gurmeet Kaur and Dr Mukesh, Extra Assistant Commissioner (UT) Gurleen Sidhu, Civil Surgeon Dr Davinder Dhanda, DRO Amardeep Thind, DDPO Davinder Sharma and Dy DEO Rajesh Kumar.
