AMRITSAR: The family of Sikh warrior Shaheed Bhai Kehar Singh, who avenged the military attack on Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib by the then Congress government of India in June 1984, has been given 3 lakh rupees by the Shiromani Committee. Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, to family of Kehar Singh.

SGPC has given assistance of 3 lakh rupees to the family of Shaheed Bhai Kehar Singh

AMRITSAR: The family of Sikh warrior Shaheed Bhai Kehar Singh, who avenged the military attack on Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib by the then Congress government of India in June 1984, has been given 3 lakh rupees by the Shiromani Committee. Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, to family of Kehar Singh.
A cheque of Rs 2 lakh 50 thousand rupees was handed over to Satwant Singh today, while he was given 50 thousand rupees a few days before.
Advocate Dhami said on this occasion that the June 1984 attack is a deep wound on the Sikh mentality, which the nation can never forget.Bhai Kehar Singh, Bhai Satwant Singh and Bhai Beant Singh who avenged this are the capital of the nation, whose sacrifice is very great.
He said that being the representative organization of Sikhs, Shiromani Committee respects its martyrs and will continue to do so.
He said that the families of the martyrs have great respect in the nation. It is the national duty of the organization to provide financial assistance to the family of Shaheed Bhai Kehar Singh as required.
On this occasion, senior members of the Shiromani Committee. Surjit Singh Tugalwal, Bibi Gurinder Kaur Bholuwala, Shiromani Committee Member Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka, S. Navtej Singh Kavni, s. Gurbachan Singh Karmunwala, OSD Sr. Satbir Singh Dhami, Secretary. Pratap Singh, Mr. Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, s. Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, s. Bijay Singh, manager of Sri Darbar Sahib. Bhagwant Singh Dhangera, former secretary. Kulwant Singh Randhawa, in charge Azadeep Singh and others were present.
