PSEB 8th results: Jaito's Tamana tops Punjab with flawless 100 percent marks

CHANDIGARH: In a phenomenal display of academic brilliance, Tamana from Saraswati Senior Secondary School, Jaito in Faridkot district, has topped with a flawless 600/600 in Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Middle Class (Class 8) examinations, the results of which were declared on Thursday late evening.

With a score of 598 out of 600 (99.67%), Japneet Kaur of Government Middle School, Arkwas (Sangrur), and Jashandeep Kaur of Sant Mohan Das Memorial Senior Secondary School, Kot Sukhia (Faridkot). secured 2nd and 3rd position respectively. All the top three position holders are also the Sports achievers.

A total of 2, 62, 966 students appeared for the PSEB Class 8 examinations, of which 2, 53, 789 emerged successful, registering an impressive overall pass percentage of 96.51.

Punjab Education Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains attributed the 96.51% pass percentage to the educational reforms implemented by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab government. These results are a testament to CM Mann led government's focus on improving learning outcomes, he added.

Extending heartiest congratulations the successful students, S. Harjot Singh Bains urged those who could not encouraged those who could not pass the examination to stay positive, assuring them of additional academic support from the department to help them improve their performance in future attempts
