Jasbir Singh Garhi declared BSP candidate from Phagwara

PHAGWARA: BSP national leadership has declared BSP state president Jasbir Singh Garhi as the SAD-BSP candidate from Phagwara assembly constituency.

The announcement was made by the BSP leadership during the 'Alakh Jagao' state level rally organized by the Akali-BSP at Dana Mandi in Phagwara today.

BSP national vice-presidents Akash Anand and Anand Kumar, national coordinators, said the alliance would form its own government during the 2022 elections.

They said that both Sukhbir Singh and Jasbir Singh Garhi would work in a good partnership and bring the state back on the path of development.

They said that Congress and BJP government had looted the country badly and had always acted against Punjabis and farmers. They said that BJP had done a very bad job by imposing black law on farmers and we were still vehemently opposing it by supporting Akali Dal in Parliament and continued to oppose it even after the formation of government in Punjab.

They said that after winning the Punjab elections, a massive campaign would be launched across the country to oust the BJP. They appealed to the party workers that the farmers are our brothers and wherever the farmers stage a dharna morcha they should be helped.
Speaking on the occasion former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal assured the BSP leadership that they would work for the needy and downtrodden by keeping the community spirit strong. Thanking the central leadership of the BSP, he said, "We are old brothers and we are very happy that we have been reconciled since 1966."

He said that BSP founder Babu Kanshi Ram had formed this party in Punjab itself. We will work for every downtrodden section by guarding their thinking and this will be our true tribute to them. He said that Modi government at the center which had been plundering the country for a long time and was bent on privatizing everything. He said that the benefactor of our country who has been sitting on the bench of Delhi for the last 9 months but the government does not care. He appealed to the people of Punjab to contribute in the formation of the SAD-BSP government in Punjab so that a nationwide struggle could be launched to oust the Modi government in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

He claimed that with the formation of our government a 13 point agenda would be implemented under which 400 units of electricity would be provided to every household.
He said, that Sad-BSP Old electricity bills will be waived, canceled blue cards of poor people will be renewed in a month, blue card holder will be paid Rs 2, 000 per month and benefit of Bhagat Puran Singh Health Insurance Scheme will be increased from Rs 50, 000 to Rs 10 lakh.

He said that 33 per cent reservation would be made in private colleges and universities for the children studying in government schools and closed scholarships would be introduced. There will be 50 per cent reservation for children in government jobs, all contract workers will be made permanent, interest free loan of Rs 10 lakh will be given for students to go abroad or study in the country.
