Haryana CM Saini Targets Punjab Government over recruitment examination fraud, Pays Tribute to Kargil Heroes
PHAGWARA: Launching a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party-led Punjab Government, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini on Sunday alleged that repeated controversies surrounding recruitment examinations in Punjab had shattered the confidence of the state’s youth. Referring to the recent Sub-Inspector recruitment controversy, he claimed that serious irregularities had surfaced in the examination process and accused the Punjab Government of failing to ensure transparency and accountability in recruitment.
Addressing large gathering at Maharaja Palace in Phagwara, Saini said the BJP-led Haryana Government was working consistently for the welfare of youth, farmers and economically weaker families. He said regular motivational programmes were being organised in Haryana to keep young people away from drug abuse, while employment generation remained a key priority of his government.
The Chief Minister highlighted several welfare initiatives of the Haryana Government, including subsidised LPG cylinders for eligible families, financial assistance to women and procurement of 24 crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, he paid glowing tributes to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation and urged the youth to follow the ideals of Shaheed Bhagat Singh by dedicating themselves to nation-building and social service. Describing Punjab as the land of the Gurus, he said serving humanity had always been its greatest tradition.
Saini was addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest at a Mega Blood Donation Camp organised by Navya Helping Hands Foundation. During the programme, a ventilator-equipped ambulance donated by the Foundation for the benefit of the general public was dedicated. The Chief Minister appreciated the initiative and lauded the Sampla family for converting personal loss into a meaningful public service mission through healthcare and blood donation activities.
The blood donation camp was organised under the leadership of Vijay Sampla, Chairman of Navya Helping Hands Foundation, former Member of Parliament from Hoshiarpur and former Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, and Ashu Sampla, President of the Foundation.
Welcoming the Chief Minister, Vijay Sampla said the Foundation had been established by members of the Sampla family in memory of his granddaughter Navya, who passed away at a young age due to illness. He said the annual mega blood donation camp had been organised to honour her memory and encourage voluntary blood donation. He added that the Foundation had also donated a ventilator-equipped ambulance to strengthen emergency healthcare services for the public.
After the programme, he paid obeisance at Vishwakarma Mandir and Gurdwara Sukhchain Sahib before leaving Phagwara by helicopter .
Among the prominent personalities present were Ashok Mittal, Rajya Sabha MP; Vijay Sampla, former Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes and former MP from Hoshiarpur; Ashu Sampla, BJP leader; Tejaswi Bhardwaj; Balwinder Singh Duggal; Sheetal Angural; Ranjit Singh Khojewal, Kapurthala BJP President; Sant Gurcharan Singh of Nirmal Kutiya Pandwa; Punjabi actor Hobby Dhaliwal; Punjabi singer Butta Mohammad; besides a large number of BJP workers, social activists and members of the public.
