Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib decorated turbans for 40 children

AMRITSAR: Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib decorated turbans for 40 children during the Gurmat Samagam which was organized by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee at village Sadulapur Bangar on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib said that the great heritage of Sikhism and its true appearance is the unique identity of the nation and it is gratifying that the village of Sadulapur in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh has kept the children attached to its heritage. Is He said that today Sikhs were all over the world and held prestigious positions.

It is the only village in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh where Gujar Sikhs live. Sikhs have been living here for nearly 200 years and have preserved the Sikh identity in its entirety.

During the gurmat function organized by the Sikh Mission Hapar of the Shiromani Committee in this village, more than 40 children were decorated with turbans by Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh and he praised the people of the town for maintaining the Sikh identity.

Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh lauded the missionary services being rendered by Sikh Mission Hapar in the state and asked to continue the series of such events. Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh was also honored during the function.
