A 'full dress rehearsal' marked the time for the Independence Day celebrations

AMRITSAR: The full dress rehearsal of the Independence Day program being celebrated at the district level was conducted today at Guru Nanak Stadium here tiday.
, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Amit Talwar and Police Commissioner Nounihal Singh specially arrived to inspect it.
On this occasion, various teams of Punjab Police, Women's Platoon of Punjab Police, Punjab Home Guard, Children's Police Band of NCC as well as School Band participated in the parade. On this occasion Deputy Commissioner Mr. Amit Talwar performed the tricolor hoisting ceremony and took salute from the parade. DCP Parminder Singh Bhandal and Additional Deputy Commissioner General Mr. Harpreet Singh were also present with him during the inspection of the parade.

Deputy Commissioner Mr. Amit Talwar said that on the day of Independence Day Mr. Harpal Singh Cheema Finance Minister Punjab is arriving as the chief guest in the function and he will perform the tricolor hoisting ceremony at the stadium on this day. He also invited the residents of the district to participate in this program. He said that this is our national festival, not only for children or government employees. So we all should celebrate this festival together with enthusiasm.
On this occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner Rural and Development Mrs. Paramjit Kaur, SDM. Mr. Mankanwal Singh Chahal, District Education Officer Secondary Mr. Sushil Tuli, District Revenue Officer Mr. Ram Krishna, District Public Relations Officer Mr. Sherjung Singh Hundal, Assistant Public Relations Officer Mr. Yogesh Kumar besides officials of various departments were present.
