Punjabi film actor Daljeet Kalsi among four lodged in Dibrugarh jail in Assam

CHANDIGARH: Punjab police has arrested Punjabi film actor Daljeet Singh Kalsi for his links with radical leader Amritpal Singh and contacts in Pakistan. He is among four close aides of Amritpal sent to Dibrugarh jail in Assam.

Police claimed that Daljeet Kslsi had collected Rs,30 lakhs in last three years and source of money is under ivestigation. The other detainees in Assam jail are Bhagwant Singh, Gurmit Singh and and Pradhanmantri Bajeka.

Punjab Police has arrested about 112 supporters of Amritpal Singh including those involved in atttack on police in Ajnana on February 24 last. Police has booked Amritpal and his associates in criminal cases including attemot to murder, assault on police, arms act and hatching conspiracy. Police is probing Amritpal's connection with ISI of Pakistan.

Meanwhile Harjit Singh uncle of Amritpal and his associated Harpreet Singh have surrendered before police. Police has recovered a .32 bore revolver and Rs. One lakh from them. Police has also impounded the marcedes car used by Amritpal Singh while absconding. Police said that they were arrested from a Gurdwara in a village near Shahkot.
