Corona vaccination campaign started in Kapurthala

KAPURTHALA: Corona vaccination has been successfully started today at 3 places in Kapurthala district for prevention of Corona epidemic. It started today in the vaccination ward set up at the Civil Hospital under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Smt. Deepti Uppal, under which the first dose of vaccine was given to Staff Nurse Bimala. After this, Vaccination was done Dr Shubhra Singh.
Apart from this, vaccination was started in Civil Hospital Phagwara and Civil Hospital Bhulath. Health workers who were vaccinated at all the three places did not face any problem after vaccination.

On behalf of the specially trained teams in the Civil Hospital, the district is being vaccinated with the covishield vaccine of Serum Institute. The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the arrangements for the vaccination campaign, including civil surgeons and health staff deployed for vaccination.
She informed that under the first phase in the district, more than 4000 health workers of government and private hospitals will be vaccinated, under which about 100-100 health workers in the three hospitals Kapurthala, Phagwara and Bhulattha have been vaccinated on the first day. The second dose of the vaccine will be given after 28 days while the security personnel will be vaccinated in the second phase after the health workers.
She informed that strong arrangements have been made to prevent any kind of adverse effects on any health worker after vaccination, under which he will be discharged only after being kept under the supervision of medical experts for 30 minutes after vaccination. She said that the Corona vaccine would be a boon for humanity and thanked the people of the district for the restraint with which the people of the district have fought Corona for the last one year
On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr. Surinder Kumar said that solid arrangements have been made for vaccination on behalf of the health department and this mission will be conquered with the cooperation of the people.
