Announcement of places for filing nominations for Assembly elections

AMRITSAR: To get nominations for 11 Vidhan Sabha constituencies in the district for the Punjab Assembly elections, the District Electoral Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Mr Gurpreet Singh Khaira has announced the venues.

In a statement issued here today, he said that as per the election schedule, notification would be issued in the district on January 21, after which nomination papers could be filed till January 28.

The scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on January 29. Nominations can be withdrawn on January 31.

The Assembly polls will be held on February 14 and the counting of votes will take place on March 10.

He said that Court Room for Ajnala Assembly constituency in Sub Divisional Magistrate's Office Ajnala, Office Acting Officer Rajasansi in Rajasansi Assembly constituency, Nomination for Majitha constituency Office of Sub Divisional Magistrate Majitha, BDPO Guru Jandala for Jandiala constituency.
Nomination papers for Attari Assembly constituency will be taken at the office of Sub Divisional Magistrate Amritsar 2 and Baba Bakala Assembly constituency at the office of Sub Divisional Magistrate Baba Bakala Sahib.

Similarly the nomination paper of Amritsar North constituency is in the office of Municipal Commissioner at Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar West in the court room of Paper Sub Divisional Magistrate Amritsar I, Nomination paper for Amritsar Central constituency is in the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development), Amritsar East Vidhan. Nomination papers for Sabha constituency will be collected at the Assistant Commissioner (Complaints) Court Room Room No. 160 which is located on the first floor of District Administrative Complex Amritsar. Similarly the paper office of Amritsar South would be taken up in Room No. 202 of Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Amritsar.
