Husband booked in dowry harassment case
NAKODAR: The Nakodar city police have booked Sumit Kumar a resident of Mohalla Rajputan, Nakodar in a dowry harassment case.Complainant Harlin Kaur , a resident of the same locality complained to the police that her husband is continuously beating her as a result she is living at her parental house .

She said that the accused barged into her house on February 16 assaulted her, used filthy language against her, threatened to kill her and damaged a vehicle.
The investigating officer Balwindar Singh said a case under Section 498-A (husband or relative of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) 452(house trespass) 427(mischief) and 506(criminal intimidation) of the IPC has been registered against the accused. No arrest has been made.
