CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh roller skaters shine with winning four gold medals, one silver and four bronze medals in different events in the 63rd national roller skating championship 2025.
The champion ship was organized at Vishakhapatnam form December 5 to 15.
The medals won are as follows: Gold in inline Hockey Senior Men Chandigarh defeated Punjab 6–2; Gold in inline Hockey Senior Women Chandigarh defeated Karnataka 6–2; Gold in inline Hockey Sub-Junior Girls Chandigarh defeated Tamil Nadu 2–0; Gold in Roller Hockey Junior Boys Chandigarh defeated Haryana 2–0 and Silver in inline Hockey Junior Boys Match drawn 2–2 vs Tamil Nadu.
The Chandigarh teams won Bronze in inline Hockey Tiny Tots Boys Chandigarh defeated Andhra Pradesh 3–1; Bronze in inline Hockey Tiny Tots Girls Chandigarh defeated Kerala 7–0; Bronze in inline Hockey Cadet Boys Chandigarh defeated Karnataka 6–2 and Bronze in Roller Hockey Sub-Junior Boys Chandigarh defeated Andhra Pradesh 1–0.
The president of Chandigarh roller skating association Maninderjit Singh Sidhu congratulated the winning teams and the players for displaying sportsmen spirit and putting up stellar performance. Sidhu called upon all the teams to work hard and in future display better performance. “The association will provide best facilities for practice so that real potential is harnessed, ” he added.
