CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh Police today cande charged the workers of NSUI, the student wing of Congress party, here outside the BJP office in protest against alleged rigging in the election of Mayoral poll.
The Police used canes and water canons to disperse the preotesting NSUI workers while they were trying to break the police barrier outside BJP office in sector 37 here. Some of the workers were also injured.
The Congress and AAP workers have been holding protest march every day after the observations of Supreme court, calling the rigging in Mayor's election-the murder of democracy.
The AAP MC's are holding regular dharna outside the MC office. Dr.S.S.Ahluwalia state vice president of AAP has also shown the video of presiding officer Anil Masih, ticking on the votes. The AAP candidate of Mayor post Kuldip Kumar had filed the petition against rigging in the elections in the Supreme court after the Punjab and Haryana High Court refused to stay the election results. Supreme Court had also pointed out that High Court had failed to take approeriate action.
