CHANDIGARH:Nitin Kumar Yadav and Anindita Mitra have been recommended for the positions of home secretary and civic commissioner, respectively, by the Chandigarh administration. On these recommendations, the minister of home affairs will make the final decision.
In May of this year, current home secretary Arun Kumar Gupta and MC commissioner KK Yadav's three-year terms will come to an end. The Haryana government selected three Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers for the position of UT home secretary: Nitin Kumar Yadav, Ravi Pankaj Agarwal, and Vinay Singh.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government has named three IAS officers to replace Yadav as MC commissioner: Anindita Mitra, Amit Kumar, and Rajiv Prashar.
