LUDHIANA: The Vety & Livestock Innovation and Incubation Foundation (VL-IIF) of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana is going to organize two days Start-up and Entrepreneurship Grand Challenge on March 21-22, 2024 in collaboration with Startup Punjab, Department of Industries and Commerce, Govt. of Punjab.
The Grand Challenge was officially launched by Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor in the presence of Dr. Baljit Singh, Vice President, Research, University of Saskatchewan, Canada, Dr. JPS Gill, Director of Research, Dr. P S Brar, Director of Extension Education, Dr. SK Uppal, Dean, Post Graduate Studies and Dr. R S Sethi, Additional Director Research, Gurwant Singh, President, Confederation of Food & Agro-processing Machinery Enterprises, CoFAME India and other officials of the Vet University.
Dr. Inderjeet Singh said that this event aims to drive meaningful impact and pave the way for a brighter, more sustainable future by empowering innovators to transform their visions into reality. Dr. Baljit Singh Gill said that the primary objective of the event is to foster innovation, promote entrepreneurship and create impact among participants, including students and emerging entrepreneurs, and bring together aspiring entrepreneurs, researchers, and experts in these domains.
Dr. Sethi, Director, VL-IIF informed that the entrepreneurs are invited to apply for the challenge with their ideas to identify innovative and sustainable solutions using cutting-edge interventions and technologies to solve pressing problems in livestock, dairy and fisheries sectors. Applications are open until 10th March, 2024 and interested enterprises can apply by filling out an online form. Top 10 visionary start-ups will receive awards recognizing their exceptional contributions to the startup ecosystem.
