International Yoga Day celebrated at Guru Nanak Dev University

AMRITSAR: Guru Nanak Dev University organized a special session on Yoga to commemorate 8th International Yoga Day. The session was lead by students who have prior training on Yoga and was attended by students, staff and faculty members of the University.

The session was jointly organized by the office of Dean Student's Welfare and Department of Physical Education. Dr. Amandeep Singh, Teacher-in-charge, Campus Sports coordinated the session and Prof. Dr. Anish Dua, Dean Student's Welfare of the University attended the session.

Dr. Dua highlighted the importance of holistic well-being and how physical, mental and emotional wellness is important for the good of mankind. He wished all student participants a productive future ahead and inspired them to adopt Yoga in their daily routine. Dr. Dua extended gratitude to the Prof. Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, the visionary leader, the Vice Chancellor of the Guru Nanak Dev University and reiterated the commitment of institution to work for the well-being of University students. Today, The Fitness Club, NSS and other departments also organized special Yoga sessions to commemorate 8th International Yoga Day.
