2 pharma students of RBU win coveted awards

MOHALI: Two students of the University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Rayat Bahra University have won laurels for the university by bagging two coveted awards in the International Conference cum Researcher’s Summit-2021 on ‘Research and Development in Pharmaceutical Sciences: Updates and Perspectives’ organized by University School of Pharmacy, IEC University Baddi.

The platform of the conference was blended with both physical and virtual mode. The conference was attended globally by many students, research scholars and faculty members from different State universities, private universities, government institutions, private institutions, and PGI etc.

The two students of the University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Rayat Bahra University were awarded second prize and consolation prize in the Poster Presentation competition.

Harveen Kour, who worked hard for this conference and presented the poster entitled “Road map of Ivermectin from antiparasitic agent to a repositioned cancer drug” won the second prize in poster presentation.

Anusha, a M. Pharmacy scholar, who was presented a poster entitled “Recent advancement in pharmacological strategies of cardioprotection” got consolation prize in poster presentation. As these two students set an example for others and the whole Rayat Bahra group is proud of them and looking forward to outshine more in future.

Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor, Rayat Bahra University, lauded the efforts of the students.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Parvinder Singh and Registrar Dr BS Satyal congratulated the two students for their achievement. Dr Gurfateh Singh, Head of the University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (USPS), extended warm wishes to the two students.
