NAPA asks Pakistan to punish those behind killing of 2 Sikh businessmen

JALANDHAR: Anger had evoked among the Sikh Diaspora after the killing of two Sikh businessmen in Peshawar city of Pakistan. This was disclosed here by Satnam Singh Chahal executive director North American Punjabi Association (NAPA-www.thenapa.com) in a press release issued here today.

Chahal said that attacks on Sikh community members are increasing day by day and there seems no end of it. He alleged that the number of attacks on Sikhs increased during the present regime of Pakistan. He asked Pakistan to sincerely investigate the killing of two Sikh businessmen in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and take strict action against those responsible for the "deplorable" incident.

Chahal also appealed to the Govt of India to register its strong protest with Pakistan on the continued "targeting" of members of the Sikh community in Pakistan. Chahal added that this is not the first such case of attack on Sikhs or a rare occurrence. Expressing his grave concern Chahal said lives and properties of Sikh community members should be saved in Pakistan. He demanded from Pakistan Government to grant heavy compensation to victim families
