Updated Odds To Win the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup

PUNJAB NEWS EXPRESS | May 26, 2022 02:08 PM

The NHL's second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs doesn't feel as exciting as the first round was, except for the Battle of Alberta between the Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary Flames. That series is nothing but total entertainment. Maybe there will be more entertainment later on in the other series, but we will see what happens moving forward though.

There has been a different point spread in each and every series in every single game during the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. Figuring those out on a game-to-game basis is a totally different animal compared to betting on teams to win the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup title. Who has the best odds updated to win it all?

Colorado Avalanche +175

The Colorado Avalanche being at the top of this list will not change until something drastic happens. Colorado appears to be the best team remaining in these NHL Playoffs.

The Avalanche have the depth, the speed, the offense, the defense, the goaltending, and the coaching to win it all. When you have all six of those in place, it is a great feeling to have.

The Avalanche did lose one of their critical defensemen for the postseason in Samuel Girard, with a sternum injury.

Colorado has Cale Makar, Nathan MacKinnon, Nazem Kadri, Gabriel Landeskog, and Mikko Rantanen as some of their key players on this hockey team. Darcy Kuemper has been a solid goalie between the pipes for this hockey team also.

Jared Bednar is the head coach of this hockey team. They are currently facing the St. Louis Blues in the second round of the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. Colorado needs to win this series to get to the Western Conference Finals and finally get over the second-round hump.

Carolina Hurricanes +350

The Carolina Hurricanes now have the second-best odds to win the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup title. Carolina is currently facing the New York Rangers in the second round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Hurricanes are world-beaters at home, and they seem like a totally different team on the road. Carolina has a relentless forecheck and transition game.

The Carolina Hurricanes' first line featuring Andrei Svechnikov-Sebastian Aho-Teuvo Tervainen is very good. Carolina has other important role players like Max Domi, Seth Jarvis, and Vincent Trocheck.

Marty Necas has been quiet for them in these Stanley Cup Playoffs and is also a very good player for the Hurricanes. They have a very underrated blueline led by Ian Cole and Brady Skjei.

Antti Raanta has done a great job between the pipes, and it feels like they don't need Frederik Andersen anytime soon. Head coach Rod Brind'Amour has done a great job coaching this hockey team.

Tampa Bay Lightning +400

The Tampa Bay Lightning have the third-best odds to win the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup title. Tampa Bay has put the Florida Panthers in a tough position right now.

The Lightning feel poised now for a potential three-peat. A three-peat has not happened since the New York Islanders won four consecutive Stanley Cup titles in the 1980s.

Tampa Bay has a special goalie in Andrei Vasilevskiy. They also have a special captain in Steven Stamkos. The Lightning has a very good head coach also in Jon Cooper. He is one of the best in the business. Tampa Bay also has a decent blueline, but it could potentially be their downfall.

Injuries could also be their downfall because Brayden Point has not been around lately as well. We will see where this goes from here for this hockey team.

Calgary Flames +650

The Calgary Flames have the fourth-best odds of winning the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup title. Calgary is currently facing the Edmonton Oilers in the Battle of Alberta. The Flames have been getting inconsistent play from their big 3 in Matthew Tkachuk, Johnny Gaudreau, and Elias Lindholm.

If goalie Jacob Markstrom and the blue line start to struggle, it can spell trouble for them. Darryl Sutter is the head coach of this hockey team.
