Haryana power engineers to intensify agitation against terminations

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Power Engineers Association in its general body meatng held at Panipat has decided to intensify its agitation against terminatiom of services of six SDOs and demotion of seven SDOs to junior engineer by holding protest meetings at Hissar and Panchkula.
The general body meeting was attended by more than 500 engineers and was addressed by Shailender Dubey Chairman All India Power Engineers Federation (AIPEF) , Subash Lamba Coordinator NCCOEEE. Padamjit Singh Chief Patron AIPEF, Sanjeev Sood Preesident  PSEB Engineers Association , Suresh Rathi President AHPC  W/U, Narendar Khokhar Chairman HSEB W/U  Abhimanayu Dhankhar President HSEB Diploma Engineers Association , Satpal Vashist President HSEB  Karam hari Sangh and others .
The first protest meeting will be held on December 18 at Hissar and Diploma Engineers Association and workers union will be joing the same.The second protest meeting will be held on December 26 at Panchkula and Northern India Power engineers Federation will be joining along with diploma engineers and workers.In case issue was not resoved by then work boycott will be observed on January 8.
Shaliender Dubey Chairman AIPEF said that it has been decided to do work boycott against privatisation policies of central government on January 8 across the country and more than 15 lakhs employees of power sector will join it.In the move of central government the power distribution work will be handed over to private sector and power utilities will be have to maintain the power distribution system.This implies that private parties will be earning profits and all the losses will be going to the account of state power utilities.
Subhash Lamba said the power minister of Haryana commited to restoration of old pension scheme and same should  be done without any delay.
Dubey demanded that all cases of corruption against the top management of nigams should be investigated and action should be taken against culprits.
In a hotly contested election Rampal Singh and K K Malik were elected President and General Secretary of Haryana Power Engineers Association.
