Woman among seven booked for developing unauthorized colony

NAKODAR: The Nakodar sadar police have booked seven persons including a woman on the charges of developing an unauthorized colony and criminal conspiracy.
The Station House Officer (SHO) Vinod Kumar said that the accused have been identified as Surjit Kaur wife of Amar Singh , Sukhdev Singh, Jagir Singh , Mohindar Singh , Salig Ram Sital Dass and Prithi Pal all residents of Boparai Kalan village.

Malkit Singh junior engineer of Jalandhar Development Authority (JDA) complained to Jalandhar (rural) senior superintendent of police that the accused developed an unauthorized colony on a land of 9 kalans and 12 marlas situated in village Boparai Kalan without obtaining any license from JDA and committed offenses under the Punjab Apartment Property and Regulation Act 1995 and sold plots and registered sale deeds.

SHO said that a case under sections 9, 3, 5.814(2), 15, 18, 21 and 36 the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act 1995 and section 120-B(criminal conspiracy) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and assistant sub-inspector Kewal Singh is investigating further.
