The nation will not forgive those who attack the Guru's teachings and Sikh traditions - Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj
GOINDWAL SAHIB: At present, the Sikh community needs to be alert to the conspiracies of anti-religious forces, as some forces are trying to weaken the unity of the Sikh community by targeting Sikh institutions, the traditions of the Guru Ghar, the Guru Kiyan Golak and the Panthic Mariyada.
This was expressed by Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj while addressing the Sangat before the departure of the Miri Piri Khalsa March from Gurdwara Sri Baoli Sahib here today.
Jathedar Gargaj said that the Guru Kiyan Golak is a symbol of the devotion and faith of the Sangat. Those who try to destroy the Guru Kiyan Golak, Gurdwara administration, Sikh traditions or the Panthic Mariyada, the Sikh community will never forgive them.
He said that this is the door of the Guru where there is no discrimination of high and low caste. Here, even an emperor like Akbar sat in the pangat and ate langar.
He appealed to the entire Sangat to remain connected to the principles bestowed by the Gurus, Gurbani and the leadership of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and to be wary of any kind of illusion, propaganda or anti-national agenda. He said that the strength of the Sikh community lies in its unity, Gurmat principles and unwavering dedication to the Guru Ghar. Jathedar Gargajj said that he inspired the entire Sikh community to firmly confront the anti-religious forces with mutual unity, restraint and chardi kala.
Meanwhile, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said in his address that one of the unique features of our heritage is that if there is any mistake on a national level, the Sikh is summoned to Sri Akal Takht Sahib and religious punishment is imposed. History is witness that even the great rulers have bowed down before the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
He said that Sri Akal Takht Sahib is supreme, whoever accepts his mistake with humility, he is forgiven by the Guru Ghar. But those who come out of arrogance and challenge the traditions of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, have never been accepted by the nation. He said that the purpose of the Miri Piri Khalsa March, started as per the orders of Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib, is to connect the Sangat with the Sikh heritage and inspire the youth to stay away from drugs.
Before the commencement of the fourth day of the Miri Piri Khalsa March, a function was held at Gurdwara Sri Baoli Sahib, in which Granthi Singh Sahib of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Palwinderpal Singh connected the Sangat with history. After the Ardas, the holy form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was adorned in the Palki Sahib by Singh Sahib Giani Palwinderpal Singh and the service of Chaur Sahib was performed by Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj. The Sangat participated in this Khalsa March and paid homage to the Guru Sahib.
The Miri Piri Khalsa March was warmly welcomed by the devotees at Fatehabad, Gurdwara Chhapari Sahib, Chak Mahir, Jamarai, Gurdwara Dehra Sahib, Brahmpura, Khara Pul, Harike, Makhu, Pir Mohammad, Shah Bukkar, Fatehgarh Panjtur, Saido Shah Wala, Khambe, Tota Singh Wala, Kaniya Khas, Dholewala, Gurdwara Hazur Sahib and paid homage to Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Tonight's leg of the Khalsa March will be at Gurdwara Sahib Patshahi Pehli Dera Kar Sewa Dharamkot (Moga), from where it will leave for the next leg tomorrow. The bus carrying the weapons of the Gurus and Shaheed Singhs and the pictures of Shaheed Singhs placed on different vehicles along with the Khalsa March were a special attraction for the devotees.
On this occasion, former president of the SGPC Alwinderpal Singh Pakhoke, junior vice president of the SGPC Baldev Singh Kalyan, members Gurbachan Singh Karmunwala, Balwinder Singh Veinpuin, Baba Buta Singh, Amrik Singh Kotshamir, Akali leader S. Avtar Singh Billa, Halqa in-charge Bibi Ramandeep Kaur Sheron, Baba Major Singh Sodhi, Baba Lovepreet Singh, OSD S. Satbir Singh, SGPC secretary S. Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, S. Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, deputy secretary S. Gurnam Singh, in-charge S. Jagdish Singh Buttar, manager S. Narinder Singh, S. Harjinder Singh Patti, S. Sarbdial Singh, S. Bhagwant Singh Kahlwan, head preacher Bhai Jagdev Singh, Bhai Sarabjit Singh Dhotian, Akali leader S. A large number of devotees including Kuldeep Singh Aulakh were present.
