CHANDIGARH: Several senior functionaries in the Capt Amarinder Singh government today resigned from their posts after Chief Minister submitted his resignation. The prominant among them are Suresh Kumar Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and State advocate general Atul Nanda.
Suresh Kumar was most loyal to Capt Amarinder Singh as he was practicle head of the government. He was holding all the powers of Chief Minister and most of Congress MLAs had complained against his style of functioning.
Atul Nanda came under attack from Congress MLAs for his failure to handle sacrilege cases and cases related to former Punjab DGP Sumedh Singh Saini.
Sunny Brar an OSD to Chief Minister has also resigned. It is expected that other functionaries in the CMP would also submit their resignations tomorrow.
