Ripudaman college students participate in essay writing competition dedicated to the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib

NABHA: An online essay writing competition was organized by the History Department of Government Ripudaman College, Nabha as part of a series of programs organized by the Punjab Government to commemorate the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the Ninth Sikh Master. Students enthusiastically participated in the competition and wrote essays on the life of Guru Tegh Bahadur.
In this competition, Gagi of B.A. Part II bagged first position while , Sarabjit Kaur and Anjali of B.A. Part III stood second and fourth third. Professor Amarinder Singh of the Department of History supervised the competition and encouraged the winning students.
College Principal Prof. Tarsem Garg said that more such competitions and activities would be organized in future also to connect the students with the history of Guru Sahib and Punjab. He said that the teachers of the history department have also encouraged the students to plant as many as saplings, possible on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib. He said that 400 fruit and other saplings would be planted in the college by July 2021.
