Religious competition organized by SGPC for children dedicated to the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Ramdas Ji

AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has decided to organise various religious competitions for the students of schools/colleges like every year from September 16 to September 26 on the eve of birth anniversary of fourth Guru of Sikhs Sri Guru Ram Dass founder of Amritsar City.

Disclosing this here today a SGPC spokesman in a press release said that these competitions included Shabad Vichar, Shabad Kirtan, Kavita, Kavishari, Painting Competition and Written Examination. Along with this, Shabad Kirtan and choreography competitions of some special schools were also held. These competitions were held at Diwan Hall Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib and Sri Guru Nanak Girls Senior Secondary School Ghee Mandi, which are related to Sri Darbar Sahib, in which hundreds of children from different schools participated.

Spokesperson further said that the five teams selected from the written test were held today at the Shiromani Committee office, out of which the team from Sri Guru Ramdas Senior Secondary School Ramsar Road, Sri Amritsar won the first place, the team from Mata Ganga Ji Kanya Senior Secondary School, Baba Bakala Sahib won the second place. And the team of Nishan-e-Sikhi International School, Khadur Sahib won the third position.
