NAKODAR: The Nakodar city police have arrested three persons on the charge of stealing government wheat.The investigating officer (IO) Balwindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Gurparshad and Sunny residents of Navi Abaadi Nakodar and working as watchmen in PUNSUP godowns and Avtar driver of a four wheeler and a resident of Chak Muglani village
IO said that 270 bags of wheat weighing 50 kilogram each was recovered from their possession loaded in a four-wheeler.
IO said that a case under sections 409(criminal breach of trust by a public servant, ), 420(cheating), 379(theft), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
