Punjab Government should contact the Sri Akal Takht Sahib committee on the sacrilege law: Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib
Sangat should be alert against Guru-disloyal and anti-Khalsa Panth forces: Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj
JAITO: The government should sit and discuss with the high-level committee formed by Sri Akal Takht Sahib regarding the sacrilege law and take a decision on the amendment. If the government sincerely wants to find a permanent solution, then it should not resort to any trickery.
This was expressed by Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj while addressing the devotees on the way from Gurdwara Gangsar Sahib Jaito to Sri Muktsar Sahib of Miri Piri Khalsa March.
He said that the amendments suggested by Sri Akal Takht Sahib will not only create a comprehensive and effective Respect Act, but will also strengthen the atmosphere of trust and harmony in the society.
Jathedar Gargajj also said that the principle of Miri Piri bestowed by the sixth Guru inspires Sikhs to pursue politics under religion. Those who talk about separating religion and politics do not understand Sikh principles. Today, the need of the hour is that Sikhs should also be politically strong.
He said that whenever we strayed from the Bani, Gurmat principles and Panthic unity, the opposing forces attacked our institutions. Even today, the governments are trying to interfere in the affairs of the Panth. He encouraged the Sangat to be alert against the Guru-dishonoring and anti-Khalsa Panth forces.
Referring to the Jaito Morcha, he said that the removal of Maharaja Ripudaman Singh from the throne was not just a political issue, but an attack on the religious freedom and self-respect of the Sikhs. The Sikh community waged a peaceful but steadfast struggle against this injustice. Under the leadership of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and the Shiromani Akali Dal, the Sikhs staged a morcha after praying at Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Hundreds of Singhs and Singhis in this morcha gave their martyrdom and proved that a Sikh can make any sacrifice to protect his religion and principles, but never bows down.
On the ninth day, today, this Khalsa March left for the next stage Sri Muktsar Sahib from Gurdwara Gangsar Sahib in Jaito Faridkot. Before the departure of the Khalsa March, during the function at the Gurdwara Sahib, Granthi Singh Sahib of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Kewal Singh connected the Sangat with history. On this occasion, Head Preacher Bhai Sarabjit Singh Dhotian also discussed the purpose of Miri Piri Khalsa March and Sikh principles.
After the Ardas at the beginning, the holy form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib was adorned in Palki Sahib by Singh Sahib Giani Kewal Singh and the service of Chaur Sahib was performed by Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj. Great enthusiasm is being seen among the Sangat towards the Miri Piri Khalsa March. The Khalsa March is being warmly welcomed by the Sangat at various stages.
The Miri Piri Khalsa March was warmly welcomed by the Sangat at the villages of Delianwali, Rori Kapura, Rameana, Mallan, Guri Sanghar, Kauni, Doda, Bhullar, Barkandi and Sri Muktsar Sahib, expressing their devotion to Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
Upon reaching Gidderbaha constituency of Sri Muktsar Sahib, the Khalsa March was given a grand welcome by the youth under the leadership of senior Akali leaders Tajinder Singh Middukhera, S. Gurvinder Singh, Bibi Gurdial Kaur Mallan, Advocate Gurmeet Singh Mann, S. Charanjit Singh Bhunder and Shiromani Committee member S. Navtej Singh Kauni. All the youth were specially decorated with yellow turbans.
