Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann should resign immediately after his video is proven to be genuine: Advocate Dhami
AMRITSAR: Considering the seriousness of the complaints lodged with Akal Takht Sahib regarding the controversial video of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Chief Minister should resign immediately after the video was proven to be genuine in the investigation conducted by the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib from the country's renowned lab.
This was expressed by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami while reacting to the order received from Sri Akal Takht Sahib regarding the Chief Minister.
Advocate Dhami said that the post of Chief Minister of the state is very responsible and dignified. Now that this video has been proven to be genuine and authentic during the investigation, the Chief Minister should immediately leave his post on the grounds of morality.
The SGPC President said that it is the duty of every Sikh and person associated with public life to respect the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
He said that this matter should be seen on the basis of the principles of truth and accountability instead of giving any kind of political colour.
He said that in a democracy, high moral standards are expected from persons holding public positions.
Advocate Dhami said that the SGPC will continue to fulfill its responsibility as per the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Panthic norms and will firmly uphold every order.
