PATIALA:As a part of series of events slated out by the Punjab Government with respect to the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji, a painting competition organized by the School Education Department at Nabha .
Divulging the details, District Education Officer (Secondary) Harinder Kaur said that in continuation of the events dedicated to 400th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, a painting competition was organized at Bhai Kahan Singh Nabha Government Senior Secondary School (Girls) Nabha today. The winning students in these competitions were awarded by the Principal Dr. Narinder Singh.
Giving the information of prize winners, she (DEO) said that Aanchal, a Class XII student, came first in the painting competitions. Class XI student Simranjit Kaur stood second and Sukhdeep Kaur of the same class adjudged third. Apart from these, Sukhmani Kaur and Mandeep Kaur were also honoured with consolation prizes for their outstanding performance. These competitions were coordinated and adjudged by Lecturer Tirath Takkar, Lecturer Virinder Kaur, Lecturer Davinder Kaur and Mistress Kusam Rani.
Principal Dr. Narinder Singh said that while the unparalleled sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji inspires mankind to fight against oppression at all times, His Bani also remains a guide for humanity. As such, the events being organized by the Punjab Government to get updated the new generation about the life sketch of great Gurus are highly commendable, similarly these competitions would prove beneficial to connect the students with the philosophy of Guru Sahib.
