PHAGWARA:Senior Superintendent of the Police Kapurthala Kanwardeep Kaur IPS visited Phagwara and reviewed the law and order situation in the Phagwara Sub Division during a special checking of police nakas, and other vulnerable points in the Sub Division.
SSP inspected different accident prone points at national highways and other places. She reiterated the firm commitment of the Police to maintain and law at every cost.
SSP directed the officers to beef up security arrangements at all vulnerable places. She said that the police have been keeping close vigil to ensure the safety and security of the people.She said that all security measures have been stepped up in the city to avert any mishap.
SSP said police teams/PCR staff have been monitoring and patrolling in the Phagwara Sub Division round the clock. She added that every effort would be made to make the security system more responsive and efficient.
She said that the major focus of the the Police was on the prevention of crime and instilling a sense of security amongst the residents. She told the officers to ensure that the night curfew was strictly imposed in the city. She said that no one would be allowed to take the law into their hands at any cost.
Meanwhile, SSP hold a meeting of the Cops including SP Manwinder Singh and DSP Paramjit Singh besides all SHOs of the different police Stations. She briefed the officers about the necessary steps to be taken for strict enforcement of night curfew.
SSP stated that a night curfew has been imposed to check the spread of Coronavirus in the district and should be implemented in the right letter and spirit.
