Kapurthala Police delivers food to 1100 needy families: SSP

KAPURTHALA: Under the 'Food Helpline' launched by the Punjab Police for the purpose of providing ration and pucca food to the weaker sections of the society during the curfew due to Covid cause, dry ration and pucca food has been provided to 1100 families in Kapurthala district. .
SSP Kapurthala Smt. Kanwardeep Kaur informed that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and DGP Help Line Nos. 181 and 112 have been issued by Dinkar Gupta to help the needy, under which the facility of providing food to the needy and providing food to the patients with home isolation was started from 15 May. She said that only 15 special teams have been formed according to the area of the 15 police stations of the district, who according to the message received on the 'food helpline', are immediately contacting the needy and providing them with their food. This helpline works 24 hours all day of the week. She informed that you are being reached by the police teams, especially inside the slums and other weaker sections inside the district. She also said that the ability to prepare food is being congratulated even in the mines that prepare food inside every police station.
