FEROZEPUR:In a unique initiative, Ferozepur Municipal Council today distributed 200 saplings and 200 bags of organic manure free of cost in Ferozepur city. As per the direction of Mr. Ferozepur Urban MLA Mr. Parminder Singh Pinki, to keep the city of Ferozepur green, the Municipal Council Ferozepur under the leadership of Mr. Rinku Grover, President Municipal Council and Mr. Gurdas Singh, Acting Officer planted a plant outside the Municipal Council Park Gone.
During the program, about 200 different types of plants were distributed free of cost to the people of the city. 200 bags of compost were distributed to the environmentalists who have made pots, plants or gardens in their homes.
Mr. Rinku Grover, President, Ferozepur Municipal Council and Mr. Gurdas Singh, Acting Officer, Ferozepur Municipal Council said that it is very important to keep our environment clean and hygienic.
This can only happen if we plant as many trees as possible. The plants have been distributed. He said that it was the duty of all of us to take care of the existing plants and plant new ones. He said that we should take care of the environment and our environment can be kept clean only if we all plant as many saplings as possible.
Apart from the President Municipal Council Ferozepur, Mr. Marks Bhatti, Councilor Mr. Pawan Mehta, Mr. Surjit Singh, Mr. Babbu, Mr. Rajesh Channa, Acting Officer Mr. Gurdas Singh, Axian SS Behl, Mr. JE Lagpreet Singh, Sentry were also present on the occasion. Inspector Mr. Simranjit Singh, Mr. Amandeep and Motivator Team were also present.
