AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee celebrated the birth anniversary of Baba Farid Ji with devotion at Gurdwara Shaheed Baba Gurbakhsh Singh Ji Backside Akal Takht Sahib here today.
On this occasion the narrator of Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Bhai Harmitar Singh informed the sangat about the life of Baba Farid ji and the sermon given by him.
He said that the Bani of Baba Farid Ji recorded in Guru Granth Sahib Ji inspires man to connect with God. By following his guidance a successful life can be lived.
At this time, after the bhog of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the ragi jatha of Bhai Palwinder Singh, the ragi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, performed Gurbani kirtan.
The prayer was offered by Bhai Baljit Singh and the Holy Hukamnama was taken by Bhai Harmitar Singh, the narrator of Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan.
On this occasion the manager of Sri Darbar Sahib S. Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, Deputy Secretary Sukhbir Singh, Manager Narinder Singh, Additional Manager Sangats including Darshan Singh were present.
