AMRITSAR: Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, president of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), has strongly condemned the ban on Amritdhari Sikh students from sitting for the matriculation examination in Bokaro, Jharkhand.
Advocate Dhami said that the government of Jharkhand should investigate the matter and take strict action against the guilty principal.
He said that Kakars were an important part of Sikh life and Sikhs in India had constitutional freedom.
He said that Sikh students in the country were often facing such problems during examinations which could not be tolerated.
Advocate Dhami said that the SGPC has written to the governments of India and various states several times in this regard, but it is surprising that Sikh students are still being deliberately pushed.
