AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has strongly condemned the killing of two Sikhs in Pakistan and demanded immediate arrest of culprits.

He said that such incidents taking place in Pakistan were creating a feeling of fear among the minorities which the government should be serious about.
SGPC President also appealed to the Government of India to take appropriate steps to protect the lives and property of Sikhs by talking to the Government of Pakistan at the diplomatic level.
He asked the government of Pakistan to pay special attention to this issue and ensure the safety of Sikhs.
Advocate Dhami said that with the arrival of Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Pakistan the message of communion spread all over the world but sadly today only Guru Sahib's Sikhs are being targeted.
He said that Sikhs have a close relationship with Pakistan as there are many Sikh shrines in Pakistan and Sikhs contribute a lot in its development.

Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that there have been several attacks on Sikhs in Pakistan in the recent past. Hakim Satnam Singh was assassinated last year and a few days ago the sons of the former president of the Pakistan Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee were attacked by the land mafia. Similarly, there have been several other reports of attacks on minorities.
