RBU to start PG diploma in waste management

MOHALI: The Rayat Bahra University has decided to start Skill Enhancement Postgraduate Diploma courses under the Swachhta Action Plan and the Ministry of Human Resource Development on waste management.

For this purpose the university has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Eco Paryavaran Engineers and Consultants of Mohali.

Present at the MoU signing ceremony were Sandip Garg, Managing Director of Eco Prayavaran, and Rayat Bahra University Vice-Chancellor Parvinder Singh, university Registra B S Satyal  besides Ravi Kumar, International Head and Dr Neena Mehta

Garg said that the Eco Paryavaran Engineers and Consultants is a company certified by leading institutes like National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), a constituent Board of Quality Council of India, and the Union Department of Science and Technology, besides the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF), and the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB).

Sandip Garg, Managing Director of the Eco Prayavaran, expressed optimism that the MoU would go a long way in the field of waste management.

Representatives of the company said that the MoU was signed for formally creating a mutually beneficial working relationship between Rayat Bahra University and Eco Paryavaran Engineers and Consultants to start up new Skill Enhancement PG Diploma courses in waste management.
