AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has strongly condemned the harassment of Mohali resident Bibi Pritam Kaur and her daughters by the Punjab Police in the middle of the night.

Advocate Dhami said that last night's forced entry into the house of Bibi Pritam Kaur by the police by jumping the walls is completely against humanitarian concerns.
The government of Bhagwant Singh Maan has come down on honoring daughters and sisters in the state. He questioned whether this was the change?

The Shiromani Committee president said that if any inquiry was to be made, it should have been done during the day. Harassing single women at night is not justified in any way.

He said that according to the family, the police in civil clothes entered the room containing Sri Guru Granth Sahib and also searched the cupboard containing the holy scriptures of Gurbani, which is gross negligence.
Advocate Dhami said that the Gurus had given the message of respect for women from the land of Punjab, but today the government of Punjab, the land of the Gurus, is insulting women.

He said that an atmosphere of terror is being created by going to the houses of women living alone at night without a search warrant, which is completely against the working rules of the government and police administration. Shiromani Committee President Asked Bhagwant Singh Mann to immediately stop this phenomenon and apologize to Punjabis.
