Covid-19 testing camp held at Judicial Complex, health team collect more than 600 samples

JALANDHAR:On the directions of Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice Daya Chaudhary, a Covid-19 testing camp was held in the district judicial complex on Wednesday.
The camp was organized in the supervision of District and Sessions Judge and Chairperson of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jalandhar Rupinderjit Chahal.

Divulging the details, District and Sessions Judge District and Sessions Judge said that six teams of the health department conducted the tests and more than 600 samples were collected by them.

She said that under the able guidance of Hon’ble Justice Daya Chaudhary, Judge Punjab & Haryana High Court who is also Administrative Judge Sessions Division Jalandhar, this camp was held in the premises of court complex in which Covid tests of all the Judges, court staff, advocates , their clerks and Public visiting the courts, were carried out by health teams.

Rupinderjit Chahal informed that the testing was got done in view of the fact that Hon’ble Justice Daya Chaudhary was very concerned about the health and wellbeing of the Judicial Officers, court staff, advocates and the Public visiting the courts .

She encouraged all the persons visiting the court rooms to get themselves tested and said every effort would be made to ensure that the infection of COVID-19 does not spread due to the working of the courts in the district.

CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Jaapinder Singh also informed that testing counters will continue to work in the district courts for the benefit of advocates, clerks and public visiting the courts, in the coming days.
Necessary arrangements for smooth conducting of the testing camp were made by Civil Judge (Senior Division) Kapil Aggarwal, CJMs Amita Singh. Sushma Devi and others.
