SHAHKOT:The Shahkot police have booked twenty eightpersons on the charge of firing in air.The investigating officer (IO)Balkar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Talwindar Singh, Gopi, Resham Lal, Rannjit Singh, Gurprit , Raja, Ganja and Giani residents of Patto Khurd village and their twenty unidentified accused .
Prem Lal a resident of the same village complained to the police the accused assembled in from of his house on August 1 late evening and used filthy language against him and fired in the air.
IO said that a case under section 336(act endangering life or personal safety of others) 294(singing , reciting or uttering any obscene song, ballad or words, in or near any public place) 148 and 149(rioting ) of the IPC and sections, 25//54/59 of the Arms Act have been registered against the accused.
