NURMAHAL: The Bilga police have booked three members of in-laws family for dowry harassment The investigating officer(IO) Som Nath said that the accused have been identified as Harjindar Singh a resident of Mohalla Kot Ranni Phagwarra , his mother Vidiya and brother Gurpal Singh.
Manjit Kaur daughter of Hussan Lal a resident of Aujala village complained to the police that his marriage was solemnized with Harjindar Pal Singh and she was being harassed for dowry even since her marriage and was assaulted continuously.
IO said that a case under section 406 (breach of trust) and 498-A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) of the IPC has been registered against the accused after an inquiry and further investigations are on.
