NAKODAR:The Mehat Pur have booked seven villagers of Dharme Dian Chhana village on the charges of brewing illicit country made liquor.
The investing officer Sahil Chaudhary said that the accused were brewing illicit liquor in Mand area of Sutlej River near Umrewal
village .
A joint team of excise and police raided the spot and recovered 50 bottles s of hooch, 1.10 lakh kilograms Lahann(raw
liquor) utensils for brewing and storing lahann were recovered from the accused who managed to flee.
A case under sections 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registeredagainst the accused
