PATIALA:With the arrest of their mother Manjit Kaur and her lover Baljit Singh, police have cracked the one-and-a-half-year-old murder case of two minor siblings. The accused devised a plot to kill the children because they could interfere with their potential marriage plans .Further police said, Baljit had pushed the two children into the Bhakra canal.
The two boys, Jashandeep Singh (10) and Hasandeep Singh(4) went missing from the Ghanaur district's kheri Gandhian village on the evening of July 22, 2019.Then the family filed an abduction case with the police. The accused mother , her husband along with her family members sat on a strike and block Patiala-Chandigarh highway. The remains of two boys were fished out from the channel after 10 days.

Baljit brought the kids along in the promise of a fun trip .As they approached the canal's bank, Baljit Singh threw both of them into the water and walked away, according to SSP Vikram Jeet Duggal. During the accused's scientific data analysis and phone forensics, crucial information was discovered. On the needle of skepticism against the two, a lie detector examination was administered. The SSP went on to say that they could reconstruct the situation and link all the possible evidence to reach the result that the suspects were the main culprits of this horrendous crime.
