PHAGWARA: Four members of a family including a woman and her three kids took poisonous drugs under mysterious circumstances at their residence in nearby village Malikpur this evening. Komalpreet (11) died after consuming poison while her mother Nirmal Kaur(34) breathed her last in DMC Ludhiana on Wednesday Night.
khush preet Kaur (10) and her brother Gur Fateh(6) both kids of the deceased Nirmal Kaur were struggling between life and death in DMC ludhiana due to their critical condition.
DSP Phagwara Paramjit Singh said that the head of the family Sarabjit Singh was a truck driver and had gone to a foreign state with a truck before Diwali. He said it seems that the family had done so out of financial distress but the police were investigating. Satwinder Singh, a resident of the village, said that when he came to know about the incident, he rushed to the Civil Hospital.
