LUDHIANA: The 14th Youth Festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana entered its fourth day with a strong display of literary talent, as students showcased their creativity and communication skills in Creative Writing, Extempore, and Debate competitions.
Dr. JPS Gill, Vice-Chancellor, praised the remarkable talent and skills showcased by students during the ongoing youth festival. He said that extracurricular activities reflect the vibrant and joyful side of academics, adding that such festivals serve as vital nourishment for the overall education system.
Dr. Rabinder Singh Aulakh, Director Students’ Welfare, congratulated the winners and encouraged all participants to continue nurturing their talents. He announced that the Youth Festival will now move towards its more vibrant and musical second phase, where main stage items will be held from December 3 to 5.
Dr SPS Ghuman, Organizing Secretary informed that Creative Writing and Extempore competitions were conducted in the morning, followed by Debate in the afternoon. Students from the College of Veterinary Science, Ludhiana, College of Dairy & Food Science Technology, College of Fisheries, College of Animal Biotechnology, College of Veterinary Science Rampura Phul (Bathinda), Veterinary Polytechnic Kaljharani, and affiliated Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar, participated with enthusiasm. Students voiced their opinions on current and relevant issues.

Dr. SPS Ghuman, Organizing Secretary, announced that the festival’s formal inauguration will take place on December 3, 2025, followed by competitions in Folk Songs, Creative Dance (Solo), Light Vocal, and Group Song (Indian) at the Open Air Theatre of Punjab Agricultural University.
